Vintage Hand painted Satsuma Porcelain Ginger Jar

Magnificent hand painted vintage Satsuma porcelain ginger jar. This has two distinct painted scenes. The first scene is of four women in a garden whilst the second scene is of a garden of flowers and birds. Both scenes are equally divided by a stylize pinging of butterflies and flowers this scene continues to the topper of the jar The jar topper is fully glaze inside as well.

 There is a raise stapling effect in the glaze which adds to the interest of this piece. The entirety of the hand painted glaze work is accentuated by a vibrant gold outline and highlight. Ginger jars are numerous but this piece is truly one of a kind.

CONDITION:

GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. - NO CRACKS, CHIP, There is some crazing in the glaze which adds to the appeal of the piece and reflects the overall age of the item.
